Its f***ing hot in here. I'm jetlagged to f*** but its cool. There is something seducing about driving down Sunset Boulevard in a Mustang in the blistering heat with the Beatles on the radio....Brilliant. One complaint though, the colour is a sort of mustard yellowy orange not the color of our choice believe me, but such is life.
In the last 2 weeks its been Dublin, Glasgow and now here we are in West Hollywood just about to start mixing the album. It will be finished by the 21 May, we have no choice and thankfully Bob Clearmountain has cleared his diary for the next 2 weeks so that we can lie back, relax and enjoy the sun....er I mean lie back relax, and enjoy the music and with Bob Clearmountain at the mixing desk you know its gonny sound amazing. This is the last piece of a very complex jigsaw that's been put together extremely carefully over the last 15 months.
This is the exciting bit when all the work comes together pretty fast considering its been up in the air so to speak for 14months, and it now separates the good from the chaff. I mean that in the way of some of the songs that sounded great at the time of writing do not necessarily translate quite as well as intended but at the same time some of the songs that, when they were written, were regarded as not as strong have turned into dark horses and cornerstones of the album, surprising us as having a resonance that was'nt apparent at the time of conception but we will let you be the judge of all that!!! I'll keep you posted on the weather over here.

Hey there thanks for all the birthday wishes... Its nice that you remember about little old me and it's appreciated!!!
Im away to Dublin shortly to look after some strings ....and after that its the mixing. I know its taking a long time... but we all have to be patient cos its got to be right not rushed and I hope you will all agree that it will be worth the wait...
Still no-name for the album so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! Im hoping we can use the mixer who mixed the last stuff so that I can go to the USA.
We have had 3 tracks mixed in South Norwood so we have started, its just these things take a lot longer than I would like them to but as I said if something is worth doing then it's worth doing properly. We had to stop the mixing as we realised that it would benefit from some real strings played on top of the songs... We had used a machine to replicate, and it sounded fine, but I thought it would sound even better, so it was back to recording again!!!
Lastly thanks for all your comments on the "official statement". It means a lot to me and I mean that most sincerely folks. I know Im being a bit flippant just now but at the time I thought I should say something and I'm glad I did, cos you made me feel I was supported, and I thank you for that.
I'll let you know how it goes in Ireland and If I got to USA thanks y'all love Graeme Cxxx
