My Story On Meeting TheWets And Marti Pellow
My funniest experience meeting Wet Wet Wet were in 1991 on Christmas Eve, Marti,and Tom both happy and were there with Graeme Duffin. They stood around talking for ages before and after, I remember Dougie were wanting to go, and Marti and Tom were still chatting with fans and remember them saying don't go with any dangerous men, thats all I recall, can't remember too much, some fan were showing Marti The Just 17 mag of them, and Marti were reading it, I think Dougie called Marti again and said we have to go. I went with my sister Rachael. My next funniest experience were during the sigining in 1997, Marti waved to me from the table and another fan witness that, I weren't too well that day as it is, I had an Upset Stomach this is when If I Never See You Again were out. I almost never went as I felt so ill, and were really ill in the morning after collecting the passes for the event along with my mate Jenny also from Milton Keynes, then Sarah and Claire met us in the evening that day when I went see Marti, Graeme, Neil & Tom. But I got a kiss from Marti and had My photo taken with him, also Marti handed me a HMV Cardboard and signed the back and put smilely face on it. Marti said to me put it on ur mantelpiece. Then I had a pic with Marti as you see below..... Then twice in 2004, my mate Kristy and I met Marti on the Friday and had our pics taken @ the Adelphi.I remember kids were passing through that day, and we both hid in the doorway as we see Marti on his mobile down the road from us, then he came towards us and said such a sunny day why are we hiding, we both laughed it off anyway we had our pics taken and then got them developed that day, on the following day on my way home to Milton Keynes, Kristy and I decided to get our Photos signed before heading for the pub near the Adelphi....Marti showed up with loads of shopping a sandwich and a hot coffee that day, so Kristy went to Marti do you want me to hold ur something as you sign the photos, and Marti turned round and said yes. Anyway as Marti were signing the photos...Kristy held Marti's sandwich and exetremely hot coffee, Marti put our names on the photo and also put love Marti, then Marti goes to me there you go flower, and Kristy is telling Marti the coffee is so hot if he could take it back. Marti just smiled, and told Marti I'm going home today.and Marti asked us did we have a very late night and turned round and said yes we did then Marti said bye after that. Then again 2004 went to see Marti @The New Theatre in Oxford during Chicago, I were staying very close to the Theatre, when I came out for a walk and then I were close to the stage door having a fag and on the mobile when Marti came out of the stage door I got a start, that day and Marti asked me if I were coming tonight I said yes, he said to me I'm certianly been punished, I were stunned I never took any pics that day, as I never took the camera out with me. I have met TheWets loads of time, but these ones were the interesting ones...... That is my story about thewets and Marti... If u wish to add your story just e-mail it to me.....
