Wet Wet Wet formed back in 1982, but as Vortex Motion, they did many classic such as The Clash. Then in 1984 they found their manager Elliott Davis, by 1985 they got a Record Deal with Phonogram, then things began to progress. Then they started writing such soulful songs such as Temptation, East Of The River, and Angel Eyes. In 1986 Wet Wet Wet appeared on a channel 4 music programme called, The Tube where they sang the Moment She Left Me. When I first see this appearance in January 1986, and I thought they are good, and god isn’t the lead singer good looking and very cute and sexy. But it took 14 months to release their first single since that Television appearance. They finally release Wishing I Was Lucky which were released on March 9th   entered in at number 99, and kept creeping up the charts then finally the single made it to Number 6, their first appearance on Top Of The Pops was on May 21st 1987. On 25th June 1987 they arrive in Gambia , to shoot the next video for their single called Sweet Little Mystery it is released on July 13th 1987, and that reached number 5 in the National Chart, and Number 3 in the Network Chart. Then it followed by their very first tour in October 1987. It came to releasing their 3rd single, they couldn’t make their mind up and they done a video for I Remember but then decided on Angel Eyes as a follow up single to Sweet Little Mystery. Angel Eyes got to number 5 in   January 1988. Then March 1988 they release their 4th single Temptation which reached number 12. Then on May 2nd 1988, Wet Wet Wet releases With A Little Help From My Friends. Entering the charts at number 5 then finally making number 1 where the song stayed for 4 weeks. They raised on that single £350.000 for CHILDLINE.   Also TheWets do a Temptation tour, as well as a European tour in 1988.

Then the band disappeared for 13 months to start writing new material for their 3rd album in just 3 years. They returned in September 1991, with a new single Make It Tonight. Wet Wet Wet was locked away in Dave Stewerts mansion where they were recording High On The Happy Side. But before they did a return to pop scene, there were a Wet Wet Wet convention held on August 10th 1991, held by Lynn Williams who ran the Temptation Fanzine. Anyway also when this single were out in September 1991, I met Marti and Tom for the first time at TV AM Camden Town with my little sister Anita and her best friend Margaret. We were all stunned when Marti and Tom got out of the car, I were trying to find a pen, Marti had gone over to Debbie and Claire, whilst I were trying to find my pen Tom went to me ur shy aren’t u and I just smiled back.
